Gran-View Motel and Restaurant

Ogdensburg, New York - 1960's

Hmm. Well, this postcard doesn't really seem to have a whole lot to say, but what it's not saying, it's saying really well.

That's so not going to be a good dive.

The one guy almost looks like a topless girl at first, doesn't he? When they said take a "casual shot" here, they came through. I mean, it certainly wasn't posed or staged like so many.

Personally, may favorite scene in that card is the bar picture. Not enough hotels and motels have bars and lounges anymore.

Now where's my Jim Beam...

Heh, thanks, Chris. And, Anonymous, I thought that one kid was a topless girl at first, too! Dude looks like a lady. :D

Jason: Yeah, they used to be pretty swingin' places (Motels) back in the day, didn't they? They had it all covered for ya.

Hey another pool with no chairs around it! What was up with that?
Nice belly flop kid.
And, I like the bar too..lots of red, the bartender probably wore one of those short jackets.. a piano player..not to much vermouth in that Rob Roy ok?....
